How does it work?

Active ingredient

Telfast® Allergy 120mg film-coated tablets contain 120mg fexofenadine hydrochloride, a new generation oral antihistamine.

Multi-symptom relief

No overall impairment of performance

No drug related somnolence/drowsiness in clinical trials

Onset of action within first hour

24 hour relief with single dose

Mode of action

Fexofenadine hydrochloride is rapidly absorbed into the body following oral administration. Fexofenadine hydrochloride works by breaking the chain of events that leads to the nose and the eyes becoming inflamed and swollen when exposed to air-borne pollens. Fexofenadine hydrochloride does this by stopping histamine in its tracks, a potent irritant that hayfever sufferers produce during the pollen season. When a histamine molecule tries to reach its target, it will find it already occupied by a fexofenadine hydrochloride molecule, and it will be bounced off.
